Frequently Asked Questions
"How many waffles can you make per hour?"
A quick question — but the answer takes a bit more explaining…
First of all, we never use frozen waffles, and we rarely use pre-cooked ones — the flavor simply doesn’t compare to that of a freshly made waffle.
The output depends on the type of waffle:
- Sweet Brussels waffles: up to 200 fresh waffles per hour
- Savory Brussels waffles: depends on the recipe and toppings. On average, expect around 100 waffles per hour
- Liège waffles: up to 150 fresh waffles per hour, and up to 200 with partial pre-cooking (which works well with this type)
"What toppings do you offer?"
Included by default: banana, Nutella, salted butter caramel, whipped cream, strawberry jam, shredded coconut, speculoos, powdered sugar, honey, dark chocolate.
Optional (upon request/quote): other fruits (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, mango, etc.), homemade chocolate cream, ice cream, pralines, nougat, organic toppings, and more.
"Do you use gas or electric waffle makers?"
We currently work exclusively with electric machines.
"How much does a waffle stand cost?"
You may have noticed — many service providers tend to stay vague about their prices on their websites. Out of modesty, perhaps 😉
Our rates start at €850 excl. VAT (+10% VAT), which includes:
- 4 hours of Brussels waffle service
- 240 waffles
- 1 chef (who speaks English)
- Travel within Paris & nearby suburbs
- On a weekday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- All toppings and disposable tableware included
This rate may increase depending on:
- Higher quantities
- Extended travel (outer suburbs)
- Evening or weekend service
- Savory options or Liège waffles
- Parking rental
- Special requests (custom recipes, split service times, custom stand décor, etc.)
It may also decrease if the event is recurring — or if it happens right on our street 😉
Please note: €850 is a flat rate, not a starting point for negotiation like
“We only need you for 3 hours, so it should be €637.”

"Is there a cheaper package?"
No — not with us. And here’s why...
Waffles, like crêpes, have a reputation for being among the most profitable foods in catering, alongside tea, coffee, and pizza.
And yes, that can be true… if you use pre-made industrial mixes, frozen waffles (like those at hotel buffets), and go light on the toppings.
But a true artisan, who works with care and integrity, does the opposite:
prepares their own batter, buys €15/kg salted butter caramel, and focuses on quality above all.
So that legendary profit margin? It depends entirely on the level of craftsmanship.
And beyond the ingredients, a waffle service at an event takes a lot of time.
Here’s an example of what goes into our standard €850 service:
The day before:
- Shopping: 1 hour
- Preparing the batter: 30–45 minutes
On the day of the event:
- Vehicle loading + travel across Paris: minimum 1 hour
- Arrival 1.5 hours early to set up and handle any last-minute surprises
- Service: 4 hours
- Stand breakdown: 1 hour (FYI, a 180° waffle iron takes 30 min just to cool down)
- Return and unload: at least 1 hour
- Cleaning and admin: 45 minutes
So a standard waffle bar service takes close to 11 hours of work. Surprising, right?
